Hello from Portland, OR

Hi, Mobilereaders, from rainy wonderful Portland.

I've found many helpful Mobileread posts on my quest to pick out a new ebook reader.

My old Ebookwise reader is starting to feel like the Brezhnev of devices -- grey and glowering, mistakable for a refrigerator -- but I'm still kind of fond of the old bear.

Time for something a bit lighter, though!

Thanks for the welcome, one and all.

The PRS-505 is at the top of my list. I see you're an owner, Curly, a happy one I assume? Are there any features you'd like changed?

Welcome to the board! I love my 505. I think it's the best one out there currently. I have no experience with any others, unfortunately, so take my opinion for what it's worth, but... I've seen a lot of youtube vids and read a lot of posts about the different readers, and I have the best one! :P

I do love my 505, I have only had it for two months and I can't imagine life without it. Living in the UK, Kindle wasn't really an option. I looked at a few others, but went with the 505 because I could buy it a local Sony shop on sale. I also wanted a device that could read epubs as well as a reasonable variety of other formats.

The main thing I want in an upgraded Sony 505 would by a wireless function.

Have you checked out the 'Which one should I buy' section?
