This is a bit different from Marryat's usual books as he was "only" the editor, not the proper author. Marryat edited this book for his friend Edward Howard, also a senior naval officer. But the style is nothing like Marryat's, much more flowery, and uses unusual long words. It has always been included with Marryat's works, though.

It's the usual naval fare and quite a long read.
