What is up with all these books being pulled all of a sudden?

I don't know. They still show up in my media library, although, for some reason I can't download them to the computer if they are tied to my 2nd Kindle.

This is one reason I hate DRM. Just plain hate it.

Yes, probably an upgrade in price.

I downloaded the "Stand" sample, but when I tried to buy the rest, I was sent a message that a "technical error" ocurred.

I noticed that Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was gone too... I was really mad, 2 days prior to my looking it had been there, and I had been telling my friend how he could get it for a good price on Kindle... and then 2 days later when I'm ready to pick it up, it's no longer for sale. Grrrrr

But yes... if this turns into something, it's the biggest argument for DRM. It'd almost be good if something did, big enough to get people making noise about it.

Hitchhiker's was yanked at Fictionwise as well - seems the publisher pulled it from sale.

PS - it's Random House. I bet they are pulling all their titles where they didn't properly set the flag to disable Read-Aloud (which is what the rest of the world calls TTS).

I found a place that hasn't pulled it yet. (sorry pulled the link, turned out it linked to another site that wasn't legit)
