George Bush has a Kindle - WARNING: Politics

ABC News (the US network, not the Australian) aired an interview with former first lady Laura Bush this evening about life since leaving the White House. At one point the interviewer asked about how the former president was getting his email. She responded that he has a Blackberry and that he also reads books on a Kindle.

I know ebooks are becoming more widely known, but I still felt this was worthy of note. (And this has no bearing on what I thought of his politics or his tenure as president.)

The fact that he's reading is pretty shocking....

I'll leave it at that.

I bet y'all voted for the "change" candidate. Let's see what he's changed:

sold out to more industries;
more of his cabinet is under criminal investigation;
more deficit;
more taxes;
more form over substance.

Yep. You elected the right guy. Good work.

So I suppose you wanted the old man who would give tax breaks to big corporations and rich people and leave us little guys to pick up the slack.

Instead we have a President who gives handouts to big corporations, and leave us little guys to pick up the slack.. You're right, that's better.

To be honest, no matter who would have followed GWB and no matter what was done, there would be people who think it's the wrong thing to do. There is just too much of a mess for there to be the perfect solution that will make everyone happy.

The funny part is that a lot of the problems that Bush left behind were inherited from Clinton.

Dear God.... the election is over. Let's move on. Bush-bashing at this point is petty and a waste of time.

Also, I was hoping that the Conservatives would not stoop to the the level of the Liberals after Bush was elected (not selected) in 2000 and 2004. But I see I was wrong.

It really doesn't matter who gets elected. The only thing that changes is where our tax dollars get wasted.

I wish they would.

And I have not stooped to their level. I can present a valid argument for each of the 5 points I stated in my first post. They said Bush can't read. I am _way_ above their level.

Both major party candidates were equally corrupt this time around, and advocated similar policies. True change is no longer likely within the two party system.
