Talking Are You Waiting on a Kindle 2
Just wondering who else is anxiously waiting on their Kindle 2 to arrive? Amazon is anticipating delivery of my K2 on Feb 26.

This is my first e-reader, and yes I've been waiting until the K2 was announced before placing my order.

Oh, and because my wife and I don't share well - she's getting an e-reader too - the Sony PRS-505 only because she couldn't justify the extra cost of a Kindle for herself... Sadly hers will be here this Friday while I'll still be waiting...

I assume you don't share books? Because you can't read books bought from the Kindle store on the Sony 505? Would not that justify the extra for the Kindle?

Her taste in books is very different from mine. But since she can find titles that interest her from the various sites that support the Sony reader and doesn't mind not having Whispernet she's ok with the Sony...

I did - thanks to your links

Although I only went through the Quick Start guide because reading the docs was just making me impatient... As it is I have 1 papeback I'm in the middle of and another lined up to read before I dive in to the Kindle...

You bring up a good point radiationman...How many anxious Kindle2 buyers are holding off on buying books until they get their Kindle? I know I am, and that's killing me more than anything. I can be as patient as the next guy for a device, but I'm used to having something to read at hand at all times.

So..........have you been downloading the books we have here? In mobi/.prc format? And.......they're free.

You can find a lot of the same free books on Amazon......but i"m betting ours are formatted better...

Mine's scheduled to ship March 2 and I can't wait. Thankfully I have quite a few books from Christmas still in my TBR pile so I'm not wanting for reading material while I wait.
