CaliMob — a Calibre library reader for Android and iOS (I'm the developer)

[shelfwalker]

Disclosure up front: I wrote this app, so take the description as a developer's, not a user's.

I've been reading the Calibre Companion threads here for a while, and rather than keep replying inside them I thought I'd open one of my own and take the criticism directly.

CaliMob is a reader and library client for a Calibre library, on Android and iOS. Today it's free, with no ads and no account to create — books stay on your device and in whatever storage you already use.

Getting your library in, any one of:
- a folder Calibre already writes to: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive
- WebDAV, FTP or SFTP for self-hosted setups
- an OPDS catalogue (Calibre-Web, Kavita, Komga and others)

Formats: EPUB, PDF, CBR/CBZ/CB7, MOBI and AZW3 with no conversion, and audiobooks (MP3, M4B, AAC, OGG, FLAC).

Reading side: custom fonts, themes, margins and line spacing, text-to-speech, highlights, bookmarks and notes, offline downloads, a true-black OLED theme, and a comic/manga reader with full-screen mode.

If you'd rather look before installing anything, there's a browsable demo library in the browser, no account and no download: https://caliwebapp.com/demo

What I'd actually like from this thread: if you moved off Calibre Companion, tell me what you lost and haven't found again. I'd rather hear that than download numbers.
