MP4 Player
uhh so well i was working on playing MP4 in pw3, i was using basic libraries and most basic version of video playing history aka FPS = frames per second so i was just playing jpgs quickly... well ofcourse its not that easy as merely using turbojpeg lib. But converting MP4 to .h264 then to YUV then to JPG cache and then display it.
i did everything right from playing .h264 videos But its nigh impossible to convert millions of types of MP4 into .h264, for ex in mp4 there are different profiles and i need the video to only be baseline 66, the original h264decoder that im running on kindle pw3 doesnt allow higher profiles, so its playing videos from .h264 but converting them from mp4 is hell lot of issues. so i need advice that should i try to use ffmpeg and compile a small part of it for kindle pw3, or just try to see how much length that mp4 decoder can be stretched to. well why am i not using GMV or BWR is cuz u gotta first convert them on a computer using ffmpeg, but i want a standalone mp4 player that can open a new world for us. even playing youtube wont be a dream. for anyone wondering that to what length i want to not use anything other than kindle: i coded the whole shit on kindle, even if i vibe code some parts i used codex.koplugin. from last whole ass week im literally coding hours daily on that shit. btw yes it is possible to play .h264 videos on it rn with i made a koplugin to be able to play pause and stop button too ;-;' imma watch movie on it then. |
