Replacing a Libra Colour with a Clara Colour?

This is my first Kobo device and at first I did love the side buttons and form factor of the Libra. However, I quickly became disillusioned with how unwieldy I found it to hold for extended sessions and while commuting. The buttons almost 2 years on have sort of become looser so they aren't even that great for me and I'd rather have a device with minimal wearable mechanical parts.

Because of this I fell into a multi device trap looking for more portable alternatives (points awkwardly to profile ), but now I want to sell them all and just get a Clara for convenience sake.

Is there anything I should be aware of before downsizing? I've seen some reports of the Clara being a little more buggy/slow compared to the Libra and I wouldn't want it to be a total downgrade experience wise. I also found my Libra quite fragile with case tolerances because of the cheap hollow build, and the snap on case I had would cause it to randomly freeze and glitch. I know the Clara's use that same plastic build but I'd hope the smaller footprint and symmetrical design would make it a little more rigid.

If not I'd probably throw my hat in and just get one of those new Kindles.
