Hi!
Trivia question: Ever wonder what shopping mall in the 80s existed in 3 cities all at once? Answer: the one in my self-published novel on Amazon. If your Gen-X, you’ll get the jokes and 80s references. If not, it’s alright - this story is made for fun and humor but with the underlying message that trying anything is always better than nothing. While there are Easter eggs for locals, this is all about the story, and I wanted to give the reader the opportunity to take a character they see within themselves, and take a small vacation from reality. The story makes fun of everything, but it’s a message that whether you are dealing with baptized vampire girls, the end of the world due to the ozone destruction, or just dealing with the bureaucracy and business of religion and end up in school at a shopping mall, it’s all par for the course, and don’t worry, your religion probably blames you for much more than you think! My novel, WEST END CURLS: Protocol 89 is a free read for Kindleunlimited until December 1. I’m not in sync with technology so I refuse to put the link here since I would never click it myself thinking I’d download a virus, so there’s no way I’m doing that to you. And you don’t need to go to Amazon to get the answer to the Trivia Question: its White Flint Mall in Rockville, Kensington, and the politician-created, boundary stretching lunacy of North Bethesda, Maryland, which sounds like the start of a joke about somebody who gives bad directions. Thanks for the opportunity to post here. I was in my teens working at this very mall during the timeframe this novel takes place, so you can imagine I was not about to become a content creator and YouTuber so I could stare at you while you ate dinner on the other side of the screen while I sold you my infomercial on my channel like a bad version of QVC. While I admire and applaud those who can do it, I grew up hoping for an Atari for Christmas, so I need to stay in my lane while the world zooms by. Love it or hate it, even if you bought my novel it’s still less than your lukewarm latte you ordered online that’s been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes for everyone to touch to see if their name is on the cup. If you do read my novel, please review it. I don’t mind your honesty, and truthfully I put the best I had into this condensed storyline so I wouldn’t have to drag anyone through mind-numbing sequels where the final novel would feel more like a tribute to the hit TV series, THE GOLDEN GIRLS. Happiness to all, A.J. Blue ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
