Alberta Canada has a new time zone called ABT (Alberta Time). They are keeping the time set at UTC-6 and starting in November, no more clock changes. I wish everywhere did away with clock changes.

I would prefer not to change the clocks ever again.

And for more joy, British Columbia has a new time zone called PCT (the C evidently has no meaning) which is a permanent offset of UTC-7.
I would have preferred UTC-8 (PST match) since in northern BC, the kids are going to be going to school before the sun rises. For instance, in Dec., 2026, sunrise will be from 9:06 AM to 9:29 AM local time. Locally sunrise will be from 8:45 AM to 9:06 AM for the same month. |

People mess with timezones, often for political reasons a lot. It makes for endless joy whenever dealing with times stored in anything but UTC

I'm just curious how a timezone can prevent Calibre from starting, lol.
