Old annoyance: view "ToC" selection not updated
I'm currently on 9.14, but it is an old annoyance from the past.
In my case every chapter is contained in 1 separate html-file. When for instance selecting in view "Table of Contents" a certain chapter, say "1", the according html-file is presented as the current editable file. When due to some operation another html-file becomes the current editable file, say chapter "3", that fact is not reflected in view "Table of Contents": the latter remains pointing to the selection of chapter "1". In other words: view "Table of Contents" is not updated to indicate which chapter-file is now "active". Is it possible/feasible to correct this? |

It has never even selected that if you star with the Book (file) browser.
Not all book files have a TOC entry so even trying to do that would open a can of worms. |

That cant be done, a single HTML file could have zero or one or more Table of Contents entries. So updating the selection doesnt make sense. what I can do is indicate which toc entries are in the currently opened file by marking them bold+italic

Do I understand correctly that you mean bold+italic them in the "ToC" view? That would be helpful to determine where about I am in the ToC while editing away in the curent html-file.
