How Do I Log In to the Server?

I am running Calibre on my desktop computer (Kubuntu 26.04 if this matters). I am using my laptop (Debian 13 KDE, again, if that matters) in another room. I can connect to the Calibre server no problem using 192.168.8.115:8080/#library_id=Calibre&panel=book_list.

Today I got a new book on the laptop that I want to add to Calibre on the remote desktop. I press the + button, and select the book. When I try, I get an error:

"Failed to upload the file: Book.epub
You must be logged in to make changes to the library

Failed to communicate with "/cdb/add-book/7/n/Book.epub/Calibre", with status: [403 (error)] Forbidden

Anonymous users are not allowed to make changes"

I went to the desktop computer and created a login for myself, however on the laptop connection to the server I am not seeing anyplace to log in.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple. How do I log in to the Calibre server from my remote laptop?

I figured it out. In order for this to work I have to explicitly set the desktop computer to REQUIRE an account. Once I checked that box, now it works fine.
