Calibre window not showing up

I'm throwing this out into the ether before I go to sleep. I was sending and updating titles from Calibre to my Kobo Clara and everything transferred but there were a couple moments where status said Calibre is not responding. Now I can't view the Calibre window at all. I tried updating it and reset my computer twice but no luck. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no dice. After every one of these attempts, I checked task manager and it says Calibre is running. I even tried Ctl-Space then M for Move just in case the window was hidden, but that gets me an ERROR: Cannot Mark No books selected. I'm at my wits end here. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone point me to the right direction to fix this?

other steps to try are:

Some software has been known to interfere with calibre, try rebooting in Safe mode and see if it works.
Try running it as administrator (Right click on the icon and select Run as administrator)
If it still won’t launch, start a command prompt (press the Windows key and R; then type cmd.exe in the Run dialog that appears). At the command prompt type the following command and press Enter:

Another thing to try is to rename the calibre config directory and then try again with no config.

This is there the config lives. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Calibre
