ASIN Normalizer keeps Amazon identifiers in a Calibre library under the canonical

asin

key. It works automatically after metadata changes and can also process selected books manually.

Identifier priority

1. Keep an existing

   asin

   store identifier.
4. Otherwise use

After choosing the ASIN, the plugin removes legacy Amazon keys only when their value is identical to the selected ASIN. Conflicting legacy identifiers and all unrelated identifiers remain visible and unchanged.

Automatic operation

The plugin reacts to identifier changes caused by metadata downloads, book-file metadata imports, and manual edits. Updates are made through Calibre's database API rather than by editing

metadata.db

.

Installation

Download the attached

ASIN-Normalizer.zip

, then use Preferences > Plugins > Load plugin from file and restart Calibre. Automatic normalization is enabled after restart. To run it manually, add ASIN Normalizer to a toolbar or menu through Preferences > Toolbars & menus, select the desired books, and invoke the action.
