Auto converting same format when adding. Why do this?

One of the Adding Books functions is to convert to desired format even when the imported book is already in that format.

Under what conditions would that be desirable? Why is this an option?

Because you want specific things done to the original format that can be done with a conversion.

Yes. I use it for bulk removing various css rules, for example, that would be tedious to remove manually.
