Good day!
I have a PocketBook InkPad Color 3. The color is very nice. Unfortunately, no matter what I try, I cannot seem to get the SOEDrich StarDict 2022-11-11 (Color) dictionary to render in color. It renders in grayscale. I have temporarily switched to the SOEDrich StarDict 2022-11-11 (e-Ink) dictionary figuring that if it is not in color, the e-Ink version would display well. Does anyone know how to get the SOED StarDict dictionary to display in color with KOReader on the PocketBook InkPad Color? Thanks, Charlie |

If you are talking about color of text, see this link: https://github.com/koreader/koreader...ries-supported
You need to switch dictionary to HTML and make a CSS file for proper styles to show up. If you talking about pictures in dictionary entries, double check that their original files in the res folder are in color. If they are, but don’t show up as color in KOReader - report it on Github with proper logs. |

I believe that color replacement mentioned on that page shouldn't be necessary anymore: https://github.com/ArtifexSoftware/m...56f40b5bcfb2e5

I am sorry that I am still confused. I downloaded the SOEDrich StarDict 2022-11-11 from here: https://archive.org/details/soedrich...ict-2022-11-11 .
I am using the files from the "SOEDrich_StarDict_2022_11_11_color" folder from the archive. It includes the "sametypesequence=h" line in the IFO file and a CSS file, SOEDrich.css, is included. I copied the files from the "SOEDrich_StarDict_2022_11_11_color" folder into the "applications/koreader/data/dict/SOEDrich/" folder, and made sure the dictionary was in the "Manage Dictionaries" list. The SOED dictionary looks good but there are no colors only grayscale. Where can I get samples or a description of files to add or modify to see the dictionary in color? The other links I followed did not seem to be what I was looking for or were confusing to me. Thanks, Charlie |

It loads in color for me. Are you sure you don't simply have the other one next to it or something long those lines?

Silly me!
It turns out you are right! What I thought was grayscale was actually very pale colors. I compared to the eink version to the color version of the dictionary first and saw the subtle difference. Then, I edited the SOEDrich.css file with some garish colors: #FF0000, #00FF00, and #0000FF. Huzzah, I can see colors. [I set it back to the default values.]
Thank you, much! Do you or anyone else have an edited version of SOEDrich.css with more vibrant colors that you are willing to share? |
