How to pevent Calibre automatically converting epub to kebub
I would like the original .epub files on my Kobo instead of being automatically converted to .kepub.epub files. (Mainly because the way the kepub page count changing depending on the font size is not a useful feature, at best, and irritates me no end).
I have tried: When sending I select Send to Device -> Send Specific Format To -> Main Memory. In Kobo Utilites -> Configure Driver -> File Formats, only epub is selected. (I can see no other setting in the other tabs that might be relevant, although in this thread Phssthpok apparently "found it on another page of the Device Config dialog" but neither specified the "page" nor the setting. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...ing+epub+kepub) I have trawled the Preferences but I can't see anything relevant there either, so would greatly appreciate help with this. Thanks! |

Solved
Of course I only found the answer after asking!
Popping the solution here in case anyone else is looking for it:In Kobo Utilites -> Configure Driver (or Device -> Configure This Device) -> Collections, Covers and Uploads: uncheck "Use Kobo driver for epub books" |
