Kindle Jailbreak Help
Hi

How can I get help for jailbreaking a kindle? I’ve joined the Discord server but I have absolutely no idea how to use Discord and I can’t seem to get into the server even though I have verified my email.

I’ve had to factory reset my Oasis without reverting the jailbreak first and I’m trying to run the sh scriplet but it doesn’t appear as a book on my kindle so I am at a complete loss.

Have you checked if your Oasis after factory reset still checks for and runs "emergency.sh" script? To determine if that can be used to restore/undo rename for ota binaries so that you can then reinstall the hotfix using "Update your Kindle" option instead of having to redo everything from scratch.

If emergency.sh script doesn't run your plan B for restoring OTA binaries would be to manually download and reinstall the SAME (still jailbreakable, hopefully) firmware version it's already using and after that redoing the same jailbreak method you used previously and are already familiar with.

Obviously change the numbers at the end of the download link to choose the version you want.

I haven’t no.

But I think I may be okay. I downloaded the same software version 5.18.2 and reinstalled that, then use the Nosebleed Jailbreak, I used AdBreak before, and everything seems to have installed okay. I have the Hotfix and KUAL with Rename and Restore and the Jailbroken ebook says I’m jailbroken. I can search the store and download books. Everything seems to be working okay.
