Advice on Google Play
I'm looking to purchase a couple of old academic titles that are available on Google Play and Bookshop.org. The latter is out as both titles are DRM'd so can only be read in the app (no thanks). Google Play claims that the books are downloadable, but doesn't say what format. The download help isn't helpful; it says you can't download large files and doesn't say what files you get. I checked the publisher website, and that doesn't say either. The book details claim the layout is reflowable, which suggests it's available as epub, but doesn't say for sure...
Any suggestions? |

If it's reflowable, then it should be epub. Downloadable books on Google Play are either epub or pdf.

Google Play books can be reflowable, or fixed layout. They can be epub or PDF. They can be DRM free, ADE/Adobe type epub DRM or read on Google Playbooks App only with no export.

OK, I'll take a punt on them. They're cheaper as ebook than an old print copy but still on the expensive side for my usual price point.
