Hi,

I have bricked my 4.2 update Boox, and adb sideload gives timestamp errors. Flashed custom abl and frp with EDL. Just require older recovery.img from 4.1 firmware to try

You can't do older without a custom recovery and even then you may have problems.

How do you suggest should I move forward, I am able to access EDL mode, Fastboot, fastbootd and recovery. Just have all userdata and metadata partition formated.

And ADB sideload is not going past 47% and giving error when trying to sideload decrypted update.zip:

That's interesting. There's 11 minutes difference between the two updates.
The current download listed above is the older one.

I think that you must have tried to sideload an update for a different model?

Only update.upx downloaded and decrypted was this one I am trying to flash. Unless OTA update had previously different build than one being available, I have not flashed anything else.

Deep dive into update.upx payload

payload metadata timestamps: product partition = 1776751543, vendor = 1776751543, while system/system_ext = 1776750860.

so even inside same update.upx there is different timestamp. Is there any way to modify system/system_ext alone to have update in timestamp?

If somebody who is registered for the beta program on the GoColor7_2 cares to tell me their WiFi MAC we can get the 4.2 beta update image for bhanvadia.
Since they can't boot, they can't get theirs.
