Hi Guys, first post. Feel honored to be surrounded by such a great crowd!

Here is the issue I want to submit to your expertise:

Device: Kindle 2 International (K2i), currently on firmware 2.5.8
Issue: KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw2 shows "The title is not signed by a registered developer"
Already tried, in order: fixed system clock via SSH (date + hwclock -w), installed MKK (Update_mkk-20141129-k2i-install.bin), installed DevCerts keystore patch (Update_mkk-20250419-k2-ALL_keystore-install.bin), reinstalled KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw2 from kindlemodding.org (freshly re-signed version), all with no change. Clock reverts to 1970 on hard reset (weak backup battery), so I'm testing immediately after setting the date via SSH, without restarting in between.

Any ideas what's specific to K2/K2i that I might be missing?

When you've opened the link to the Kindle Developer's Corner, you can search for certificate information. The Snapshots of NiLuJe's hacks thread has quite a bit of information but start at the end and work your way back. A couple of short recent threads are Can't launch KUAL - any help for a tech disaster? and KUAL not launching on Kindle 4 Non-Touch (fw 4.0.1) after jailbreak – need help.
