Bold fonts? - HUH? - Just 'ON' or 'OFF'? - HUH?

OK:

So when will Pocketbook actually implement a Weight setting to control the degree of BOLD on their fonts?

I think most owners would find it much more enjoyable to control the degree of bold, rather than simply have it 'Off' or 'On'.? (I'm talking about their standard reading menu.)

HUH?

SO:

Is Pocketbook asleep?

I think the problem with Pocketbooks is that they have their head firmly stuck up their backside.

There is no reason not to have a proper font weight setting.

Some improvements to the reading settings (line spacing, margins and fonts) are planned for the end of the year. Exactly what these will involve is unclear, although many hope they will include the option to adjust the font weight (I’m not so sure about that). It has been postponed several times, so it could be delayed again. What is clear is that it is not a priority for PocketBook.

They have released a bunch of e-note devices, I bet their development efforts have been focused on making these devices suck less.

I suspect that they would have added this feature if there was an indication that it would boost their sales but it’s probably not the case.

I think the abandoned theming functionality of the PocketBook OS tells you everything you need to know about their priority towards user personalisation.

I have a PocketBook that I love, likely because I spent the time and endured the learning curve to make Koreader my default reading app. It does integrate seamlessly with PocketBooks, I rarely ever see Koreader's settings or its attempt at a Library view as PocketBook's own library view will launch direct to Koreader and the device will start up directly to the last book in Koreader etc.

My terse recommendation on ereaders for those that have specific formatting preferences:
Getting a Pocketbook, use Koreader.
Don't want to use Koreader, get a Kobo.
