Calibre Companion Re-load Issue

Please help. I had to reset Samsung S9+ tablet and in reloading (aka sideloading) an older version of Calibre Companion (an old apk of my program), I am now getting the "Library is read only" when trying to connect to Main Calibre Library Program. You can see all books on Calibre Companion but no connection to Calibre Main Library.

I even deleted that version and reloaded the new version of calibre that is in Google Play store but that showed nothing at all (no finding books) when it was fully loaded. Then, I reloaded old version again and it shows everything there it just won’t connect. I had Calibre Companion running this morning without any problems.

So how do I get Companion to see Calibre Main Library? I have gone through every faq & hint I can find but most are unobtainable on a defunct site. I wish to goodness that program was never sold to the guy who’s abandoned it. Can someone give me easy walk through instructions…I am running Android 16.

I've done this several times when upgrading to new tablets in the past and it was easy. Now not so much. Help...avid reader here.
