BookFusion iOS 1.43.1 – Online & Offline Realistic TTS Voices, Other Updates & Fixes

We have released several major improvements across BookFusion over the past six months. Here are the highlights:

• Realistic streaming TTS voices are now available on iOS for Advanced and Power readers, with unlimited listening and voice previews.
• Fully offline Supertonic voices are available to all readers, including Free, Casual, Advanced and Power plans.
• Offline TTS supports 31 languages, runs entirely on your device and has no tokens, character limits or time restrictions.
• The TTS and Media Overlay interface has been redesigned with voice selection, playback-speed controls and sentence-by-sentence navigation.
• Improved sentence detection provides more natural pacing and fewer awkward pauses.
• Supported voices can now highlight each sentence as it is spoken.
• Footnotes are handled more smoothly during reading and playback.
• Library filters now make it easier to browse Books, Articles or everything together.
• Publisher and publication-date metadata can now be viewed and edited.
• Spanish and Polish localisations have been added to the iOS app.
• Numerous issues affecting PDFs, EPUBs, comics, highlights, Dark Mode, TTS playback, downloads and library organisation have been fixed.

Coming next

We are currently working on:

• The full launch of Articles
• A sleep timer for TTS and Media Overlays
• Page-number support
• Custom headers and footers with options such as the clock, battery level and reading time
