Network hosting

The calibre user support literature states in no uncertain terms, do not keep your calibre library on a network drive. However, there are Docker containers for calibre and "calibre-web," and once installed, it's running quite well on my Synology DS220+ NAS. Is it possible that the advice against network hosting is somewhat out of date?

The warning is mostly about using a PC, but keeping the Library remote.
Calibre is not a client-server app

Server is self contained, so both pieces are in the same place.
If you need to update the Server copy of the Library, Build the new copy on you PC, then stop the server and replace the Library Folder, then restart
