Can't connect my Kobo Aura Edition 2 anymore :(
Hello guys.
Writing here since I can't find a way to solve this issue I'm having when connecting to Calibre my Kobo Aura edition 2. I tried changing PC, Calibre version and cables, but nothing works. I connect it and after some time I get the following "calibre, version 7.24.0 ERRORE: Errore: Errore di comunicazione col dispositivo IOError: disk I/O error Traceback (most recent call last): File "calibre\gui2\device.py", line 112, in run File "calibre\gui2\device.py", line 566, in _books File "calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 1985, in books File "calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 187, in device_database_connection apsw.IOError: IOError: disk I/O error " Anybody experienced this before? Your help would mean a lot. Thanks in advance! |

That suggests one of the Kobo databases has been corrupted. Easiest fix is to log out and log back in. This will lose your reading stats. The best answer is to have been using the Kobo Utilities plugin to do backups of the database so you can restore one from before the corruption to minimize the lost data.

It suggests there could be an issue with the SD card hence the I/O error.

The Edition 2 is glued the say way as the edition 1, correct?
