Adding custom action to content server

Hi, I have a plugin providing a record album library type, and I would like to add an export feature which provides a web page which can be saved on my phone as a PWA. This will have a small subset of the albums and custom metadata saved as a sqlite db.

Just wondering if I need to serve up my own web endpoint in the plugin, or is it possible to hook into the content server to make this action available when viewing the album library?

There was recently code merged into master for a new plugin type adding custom endpoints (url routes) to the content server. See recently closed PRs to find it.
