Missing changed books

Since version 3.6 (I think) I have a problem with syncing books from calibre. Everything is fine and justread finds the new books. But it doesn‘t find the books I did changes in calibre.
For example: I got a new book and added it to a series. Then I noticed that I have an older book fitting to the same series and I added the series to calibre. When I sync it to justread the App only shows me the new book but it doesn’t realize that there were changes to the older book. So I have to delete it from justread and after this justread finds the older book with the shortly added series.

Which version of Calibre do you, please, have?

I use calibre 9.9. Maybe I will have to do the update…. I was confused because I never had the problem before.

Now I did the update to calibre 9.11, but the problem is the same

I am looking into it right now, will let you know, once I found out the problem (plus the solution). The fix then will be in next version, which I would like to release tomorrow.

Just a quick check: when you change something and then press (in Calibre) button to embed metadadata, and then open Calibre Books sheet... does it show as changed?

So looks like that mtime from Calibre is not working properly....

database.lastModified = 2026-07-11T11:16:29.697889+00:00
calibre.serverMtime (compared) = 2026-0711T11:16:29.697889+00:00
calibre.lastModified (metadata clock) = 2026-07-11T11:17:54.930219+00:00

... meaning I am switching back to original using lastModified, as before.

So this 'fix of a fix' will be in next version and I will let Kovid Goyal about this.
