I have thousands of ebooks and I have enough trouble remembering what I've read, much less what my girlfriend has read. I have created several custom metadata fields - Read; 11; and 11.Read - to help keep track. I mark 'Read' as 'Yes' when I read a book; I mark '11.Read' as 'Yes' when she has read a book; and I mark '11' as 'Yes' when I want to transfer a book to her reader.
What would be really helpful is if there is a way to filter everything so that the only books that show up fit this criteria: 11 = Yes; 11.Read = No; On Device = No. That would only show me books that I want to give her, that are not already on her reader and that she hasn't read yet. I know that that is asking a lot and most likely no possible, but... it never hurts to ask. |

Of course it's possible. First, though: are the 11 and 11.Read Yes/No columns or does No just mean that there's no value, the field is empty?

Oh... wait a minute. I guess in a filter, the No, would actually mean no value - an empty field - though. Last edited by rebeltaz; 07-10-2026 at 03:22 PM. |

#11:"=Yes" and #11.Read:false and ondevice:false You can save it as a saved search (on the right side of the search bar) and access it with just a couple of clicks going forward. |
