Desktop App Kobo Desktop serial is where?

Hi all, I have a Kindle Paperwhite 2nd gen, but prefer using Kobo over other online bookstores as they a) have numerous books available without DRM, and b) actually allow downloading books as files at all. Unfortunately every once in a while I run into a book that is DRMed on all platforms. Since I don't have a Kobo reader, I'm stuck using the desktop app; and since I'm on Linux, I can't use Adobe Digital Editions (it simply fails to start in Wine, not even so much as an error message).

Obok asks for a Kobo ebook directory and a serial. The directory is easy enough. The serial though, not so much. Obok documentation is incredibly vague about everything concerning the desktop app, and the Kobo app and user folders are mostly full of sqlite binary files; there is one single text config file, and it doesn't contain a serial number. Where can I find the desktop app's serial so that I can read the books I bought on the device I own?
