Customising the home page

I remember a couple of years ago someone posted how to remove the Kobo home page and go to Your books on start-up. I recall it involved editing a settings file on the Kobo itself. Does anyone remember how to do this and can they point me at the instructions?

I've just acquired another Forma and want add my customisations to the new device.

If you do that, you won't be able to sync (if I'm not incorrect).

I don't use Kobo to sync, I use calibre. Basically, the setting I'm after drops you straight into My Books without all the clutter.

I rather think I will end up with different libraries on each Forma so synching is immaterial.

Found it:

You can disable the home screen by enabling the sideloaded mode (enter SideloadedMode=true in the configuration file, under "ApplicationPreferences").

Note you'll lose the ability to direct download from your Kobo account.

(Which is fine by me as I manage everything via Calibre.)
