How to export annotations (version 9.11)
I have just updated to 9.11 and I’m glad to read we can export ‘annotations in the HTML format as a standalone web page’.
I can’t find where or how to do this, can anybody help please. I assume that it is directly built into calibre but I also have the annotations plugin too. Forgive me if this has already been asked but I can’t see it here and I couldn’t find it in the user manual. |

I can now see the browser but I have no annotations in it.
I have selected a book that has annotations on it but nothing is shown. Does it need to be a specifically named column for the browser to detect the text? |

No, no need for columns. The browser displays only annotations/highlights made with calibre ebook viewer.

Thank you for the information, I used the viewer and it immediately worked.
I’m guessing there is no easy way to convert or move the annotations I originally made on my kobo reader (which I’ve then added to calibre via the annotations plugin) to the built in ebook viewer? |

Not trivial, I assume. For one, I suppose the devices can have very diverse highlighting and annotations formats and syntax; if this was possible, would have already been implemented...

I shall perhaps try manually adding some of my previous annotations to the ebook viewer in the future.
Thank you for all the useful information anyway. |
