Your notes should stay in your memory
Hey everyone,
I read a lot of non-fiction, and I’ve always had this frustrating problem: I’ll highlight a brilliant quote or lesson in a book, close it, and completely forget about it a week later.I wanted a way to passively remember what I read without having to open a flashcard app every day. So, I built an iOS app to solve this for myself. Here is how it works: * You import your highlights (it supports Kindle, or just pasting text). * You set a daily schedule (e.g., "Send me 5 notes between 9 AM and 8 PM"). * The app sends your highlights as push notifications throughout the day. * It uses a spaced repetition algorithm—if you remember a note, you see it less often; if you forget it, it brings it back sooner. It’s been so helpful for me to just glance at my phone and be reminded of a great lesson while I'm at work or waiting in line. I would absolutely love some honest feedback from fellow readers. What features would make this a "must-have" for your reading workflow? The app called Echonos on AppStore https://apps.apple.com/us/app/echono...s/id6769253569 |

IMO the user should be able to export their selection to the app via the share sheet or via a shortcut instead of copying and pasting their text.
I have solved this problem for myself with a shortcut that exports my selection to a text file, an automation that SCPs the said file (along with my dictionary lookups) to my home server every day at 19.00 and a cron job that creates Anki cards from these files. Glad that someone has build an app that can help the others achieve a similar goal without having to buy a home server and learning to code. Last edited by DJUNGELSKOG; Yesterday at 05:56 AM. |

I use Readwise for my highlights, so I'm more curious than interested. Do you have a website with more details about the app? What is the pricing structure?

I’m just an indie dev and build this app for myself so I just created a FB page for introduction and instruction for new people as below https://www.facebook.com/share/18mXs...ibextid=wwXIfr For pricing, you can receive 5 notifications per day for free user. If you need more notifications, you just need to buy lifetime for 4.99$ |
