Errors when editing metadata / deleting books
I'm running calibre server version 9.8 on linux and run into server errors when I try to modify my library (editing metadata, deleting books). The error is typically something like:

Failed to communicate with "/cdb/set-fields/651/calibre-library", with status: [500 (error)] Internal Server Error

I'm not sure how to debug this as it appears to be a generic error. Has anyone got any experience with troubleshooting this?

Are you running the distro version of Calibre?
... Don't

I just edited comments in 9.8 on Linux Mint using The official command line install found on the Calibre download (linux) page.

Look at the server logs error details are logged there.
