Rename file name with variables

Is there any plugins or built-in functions to bulk rename xhtml file names with variables?

Say like after some editing, I'm end up with bunch of xhtmls with random file names, and now I want to rename them to chapter-a-01, chapter-a-02... and so on, how do I do it is sigil?

I know there is regex rename files, but it seems can't generate variables? At least I don't know how to do it.

Did you try highlighting all those files in the browser pane, right click and select 'Rename' ?

This opens a dialogue where you can enter chapter-a-01. Then click OK - job done.
