How to disable the OCR engine?

When reading comics, if I move my finger on the screen, a prompt about installing an OCR engine pops up. I'm not interested in OCR, but the prompt won't disappear automatically. It keeps showing up every page I turn until I reopen the comic!

How can I disable this prompt? It seriously affects my experience of reading comics on KOreader. I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

Thanks!

This may or may not help you. I stopped using readers some years ago and tend to read all my books and comics using Calibre on my computers and ipad.

Google AI search regarding KOreader says:
To stop the OCR engine or PDF text-selection popup from repeatedly appearing on every page, you need to turn off Force OCR, disable Reflow by default, and deactivate text-selection gestures that trigger it.Follow these steps to stop the loop:Turn off Forced OCR: Tap the top of your screen to open the main menu, go to Document (gear icon) > Document processing, and ensure Forced OCR is turned OFF.Disable Text-Selection Actions: If you accidentally select text when turning pages, it triggers the OCR/translation loop. Go to Settings (gear icon) > Taps and gestures > Gestures. Under Text selection, set the action to None or Dictionary instead of translating or OCR.Turn off Automatic Reflow: Go to Document > Reflow, and uncheck Reflow by default.Dismissing Stuck Pop-ups: If the OCR dialog is currently stuck on your screen, quickly perform a short swipe down to dismiss the active dialog.

Angry

1. turn off Force OCR is not useful, the OCR prompt is still pop up.
2. the other 2 settings is not available in koreader menu, it is the AI trick :-(.
3. I finally found a way to close the pop-up prompt: after clicking outside the prompt window to close the prompt, long press and move your finger at the originally selected position, and a menu with "Select, Highlight..." will appear. Then click outside the menu area, and this way you can close that annoying OCR installation prompt!

---I still think this is not a very wise solution. I hope the developers can provide a way to turn off the prompt!

I need to correct one point. The prompt for installing the OCR pops up when you long press the screen. If you realize your finger accidentally touched the screen and want to avoid the annoying OCR prompt, you need to add a finger movement! :-(
