New Firmnware for PB632 aka Touch HD 3

Version 6.9.1035 now available over OTA or HERE

Spoiler:

Release Notes
PocketBook Touch HD 3
FW Version: 6.9.1035 (May 12, 2026)

Core changes
1. New Feature: Device PIN Code Support
Implemented full support for PIN code protection on devices. Users can now secure
their devices by setting a 4- or 6-digit PIN code through the system settings. During
setup, an email address must be linked to enable PIN recovery; confirmation is
required via a link sent to the provided email. The PIN itself is securely stored
locally as a hash — it is never transmitted to the server. Users have the ability to
change or remove the PIN, as well as to update or unlink the recovery email.
The system allows flexible control over when the PIN is required: on device startup,
unlock, USB connection, or disconnection. If the user forgets the PIN, a recovery
flow is available after several failed attempts — this includes sending a signed
request to the server and verifying the user through a secure email link. Wi-Fi can
be enabled even on a locked device to support this recovery scenario. After a full
factory reset, the PIN code is cleared and must be configured again if needed.
2. Introduced a new, enhanced logo customization feature that gives users greater
control over the appearance of the device during startup and shutdown. Users can
now personalize the Boot and Power-off logos by selecting from several options:
use the default system image, show the cover of the currently opened book, or
even display the current page as a dynamic screen saver. For a more personalized
experience, users may also choose any custom image stored on the device or select
up to 10 images to be shown in random order. Additionally, for Power-off mode,
there is an option to display no image at all. These new options are available under
Settings > Personalize > Logos and provide a more tailored and visually engaging
experience every time the device is used.
3. Added display options for book cover logos (boot and power-off). Users can now
choose how the empty space around the book cover is filled — Fill screen, White
background (default), Black background, or Depth effect.
4. Added support for LCP-protected PDF files
5. Added support for LCP-protected audio files
6. Added support for logging into multiple Onleihe libraries and switching between
them.
7. Added Icelandic to the list of available languages in the device user interface.

Reading program
1. Resolved an issue where some books with a large number of pages (1000 or more)
opened slowly or failed to open at all.
2. Resolved an issue where some EPUB books with fixed layout did not utilize the full
screen area of the device.
3. Fixed an issue where cover images of some EPUB books did not display fullscreen
on the device.
4. Fixed an issue where hyphenation in some Portuguese-language books was incor-
rectly applied.
5. Fixed an issue where certain EPUB files displayed an excessively high page count
due to duplicated chapters

Other improvements
1. Added ”+” and ”–” buttons in the Advanced Frontlight Settings for more precise
frontlight adjustment.
2. Added icons to indicate supported Bluetooth services (e.g., audio devices via A2DP,
input devices via HID) in the list of discovered devices, helping users identify which
devices can be used with the system.
3. Resolved an issue that could cause some Bluetooth headsets to disconnect during
music playback
4. Fixed an issue where audio playback was not correctly routed to previously con-
nected Bluetooth headphones after restarting Bluetooth; sound was sent directly
to the device speaker instead.
5. Fixed an intermittent issue with Adobe DRM activation during user registration and
authorization in PocketBook Store. In some cases, successful registration or login
did not display confirmation messages nor show Adobe DRM account details in
Settings > Accounts and Synchronization, and an error message appeared after
registration. Now, users consistently receive appropriate success notifications, and
Adobe DRM account information is correctly displayed after both registration and
authorization processes.
6. Corrected the time zone for Almaty from GMT+6 to GMT+5.
7. Fixed an issue where the G-Sensor icon did not properly indicate activation status
and failed to update the device orientation correctly after being toggled.
8. Translations improvements
