[GUI Plugin] MimicReader — Send books from Calibre to mobile reader/audiobook generat

I wanted easier access to my extremely big Calibre library. That let me read and listen during work — and turned into an old-school all-in-one web app, online or offline, on mobile.

What the plugin does:

• Syncs library metadata (incremental, tested on a 27,121-book library)
• Pushes covers automatically
• Long-polls server — open a book on mobile, plugin uploads the file
• Bulk queue (up to 500 books, background uploads)
• Auto-attaches generated M4B audiobooks back to Calibre records
• Reads metadata.db read-only — never modifies your library
• Daily auto-update check
• One-button wipe (removes data from server)

Companion service is mimicreader.ai — mobile reader (PWA, offline) plus optional AI audiobook generation in 23 languages. Free signup, no card required.

Tested: Validated on a 27,121-book Calibre library.

Install:
Preferences → Plugins → Load plugin from file → select the zip
First-run wizard prompts for an API key from your free MimicReader account.
