Weird font issue in calibre
I've been doing a lot of library management recently and have run into the issue that body fonts are displaying in calibre as ???? On my Kobo, the text displays correctly.
This is seriously annoying as I am checking ISBNs for a correct one. The only thing I can think of is that a recent Mac OS update has broken something. I seem to recall a similar issue a while back. |

The font (glyph's) does not exist on the Kobo or is missing the obfuscation key (licensed fonts). Someone may have previously cleaned (subseted) a font that was saved to the Kobo fonts folder

Did a restart and fingers crossed it seems to have been fixed. Apparently Font Book can get in a muddle when upgrading...
On the other Mac, I had to reinstall system fonts... Last edited by maddz; 05-09-2026 at 01:28 PM. |
