Hacks Will my older jailbroken Kindle still work with the store?

I've got a Kindle Voyage 7gen with firmware version 5.8.10 on it.

It's already jailbroken, from years ago, and I have KUAL "v2.7 (20160721,a)" on it. According to the KUAL menu, the "Back Door Lock" is enabled. (I believe newer versions of KUAL have different ways to prevent automatic updates.)

I've also had it in airplane mode for as long as I can remember, but now I want to take it off airplane mode because I need to download a newly-purchased book.

Is this setup sufficient to prevent automatic updates?

Will I be able to download newly-purchased books from the store with this firmware, or will Amazon make me update to newer firmware?

And if I do need to update, what's the best way to go about it?

At the moment it still works. For how long no one can say. Also no one can say if the jailbreak will help delay the inevitable.
