Kindle Languagebreak Failure

Hello! New here. Searching for solutions to this problem led me here, so I assume it's the knowledge base for this kind of thing. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to SY69JL Kindle with Language break. It appeared to be going well, following these instructions:

The jailbreak info came up after selecting Chinese and booting.

Then I ran into the message about collecting debug info, and I had to restart.

Since then the device appears to be stuck in demo mode. It keeps going to sleep and bringing up the CONFIGURE DEVICE screen, which can only be swiped away after many attempts.

Typing ;demo into the search box does nothing, so the jailbreak process can't be restarted.

Connecting to the PC does nothing.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this?
