- Scroll mode reading bars now span the full width with a soft fade for a cleaner look

- Library, Calibre, OPDS, and Collections sheets now use the large detent on iPad
- Screen stays awake during the first iCloud sync so a fresh install does not stall on a sleeping device
- Auto-resume your last open book if iOS quietly closed the app in the background, so you pick up where you left off after a cold launch

Accessibility
- Calibre Send sheet announces row selection, send button counts, progress, and failed rows
- Library ellipsis exposes the pending Calibre count so the blue tint is no longer color-only
- VoiceOver users keep swipe page-turn working in scroll mode
- Calibre mapping fields keep their editable trait for VoiceOver

Fixes
- Fixed background apps wasting battery probing Calibre and OPDS servers every 15 seconds
- Fixed font-size percent label width jumping when crossing 100%
- Fixed figcaptions not spanning the full width of their figure

I just did the update and wanted to try the new feature. But I don’t find the button „send to calibre“ on my iPad. Where is it hidden?

1. You have to set up the Calibre connection and Calibre Mapping.
2. You need to have some books synced from Calibre.
3. You need to have made some changes to those books (read some, change the star rating, etc.).
4. The button then appears when there is something to sync (the '...' button will also turn blue to indicate that something has changed and can be synced back to Calibre).

IMPORTANT: Calibre requires a user to be created in 'Sharing over the net' for writing back to Calibre to work.

I found it. I first have to tell justread the name of the corrsponding column in calibre. You have to click right on the line. This I didn’t realize first.

Is it correct that I have to sync the whole library for the first time so that justread can notice the changes the next times?

You can test it with just one book.
1. sync one book from Calibre
2. make some reading, changes (according to what columns to sync you set up)
3. sync just changes for this one book back

The read/unread Status works fine. The reading progress…. I still have to play a little bit. I think it‘s my personal thing with the settings in calibre.

justRead.app will tell you, when you are setting it up, what type of column it should have in Calibre and also do not forget, that those user specific columns are generated with # in the beginning.

Should the justRead app be able to download from Calibre the columns that are set up? When I sync with Calibre, none of the reading status (read yes/no) is updated in justRead. All my books show changes. I'm afraid if I sync back to Calibre I will lose my read/not read and date read status in Calibre.

Hi lbrockmueller, ...
1. back to Calibre sync only those columns you have set in mappping
2. and only for those books that have anything changed
3. and before sync you can de/select books you want to sync back

All those steps are manual and depending on your actions.

But good idea, will update the Calibre Sync for next version to also download those specifically set columns from Calibre to justRead.app.

So for now, if I understand correctly, I need to manually set my read/unread status in justRead so it matches Calibre. It will set today's date in justRead as the date read. So I should be careful in syncing those books back to Calibre because it will change the date read in Calibre?

It depends on what you have set to sync in mapping.
According to your text, I suppose you have set read/unread status and date read.
That means,...
1. if you set a book in justRead as read, it will set up the read date to today (and that you can change in Reading history: long tap on book).
2. and if you sync this book back to Calibre, it will sync those two fields back to Calibre

But it is up to you, which books you will sync back to Calibre. Just try it, it will sync back only after you choose which books you like to sync and after you hit the sync button.
