Aura HD Screen contrast

I upgraded a Kobo Touch to Aura HD, and I've noticed that the black contrast seems a lot lighter. I thought it was font settings but I've noticed it too.

The Touch doesn't have a front light and I've read that the light guide layer decreases the screen contrast .

The Libra 2 has very good contrast, despite the light layer. Easily better than my old ereaders without frontlight.

This was also posted on reddit with pictures. The contrast itself is fine, and adding weight to the font on the Aura solved the issue. Although one can notice that the Touch has a sharper screen, the text feels closer to the eyes, as the Touch doesn't have that extra layer for the frontlight.
