Request new feature: Prohibit preview refresh

Not every operation requires an immediate refresh. I would like to add a feature that prohibits refreshing and allows users to manually refresh is a good choice.

My scenario is to view each image, determine if it needs processing, and preview it, which is more efficient than an image viewer because it can show its display effect and context within the article. But refreshing will reduce my efficiency, and frequent screen flickering is uncomfortable for my eyes.

Why on earth did you not add this to the existing thread asking for suggestions? You already posted there.

In reply, If you are just looking and not editing then the refresh timer will not be reset and no refresh will happen after the first.

Furthermore, if you look at the Sigil Users guide, you will see that there is an environment variable you can set to stretch out the refresh timer interval:

SIGIL_PREVIEW_TIMEOUT

It is in milliseconds and accepts values from 1000 to 10000.

Again if just looking at images in book text context, why not use PageEdit to do that, no refreshing going on there at all.
