tool to process metadata from .mobi file

As you are probably aware, Amazon is changing their provision of magazines in Kindle Unlimited. This will result in magazines being removed from devices starting in July.

Given this, I want to backup my magazines in Calibre. Unfortunately I encounter duplicate name problems with this as the title in the metadata does NOT include the issue date or number. I thought of using the Calibre book editor to modify this, but it does not support .mobi files.

I seem to recall there is a tool here that can extract and update metadata in a .mobi file, but I don't know what it is called or where to download it.

Once I have it I plan to preprocess the magazine .mobi files to add the issue number or date to the title so that they can be properly added to Calibre.

Can someone point me to this tool?

Dave
