Potential issue and a request
A couple times now I’ve encountered an issue where when I highlight a word and select define, the dictionary entry pops up and then immediately closes. It usually takes 3-4 tries before the dictionary remains open. This occurs very intermittently, but has happened to me with each version so far.

Also, a feature request. Would it be possible to have a selection to allow the app to open to the current book in progress instead of opening to a tab?

Actually, the option of opening to a book in progress is something I would like. Not a dealbreaker, but useful.
I have the top reading bar set to on for title. It only shows when I have tapped to get the bottom settings bar. It goes off when the settings bar is off. I note it says “on page turns”. It would be good to have the option of title in the top reading bar when reading.

Am I missing something?

About that dictionary: what device do you have please? As this is a standard sheet in the app and I never noticed problem here. And now tested on 2 physical and 3 virtual devices without any problems.

About that opening the book: when you long press the justread.app icon you can open the book directly. There are books you are reading. Is this what you wanted?

About that visiblity of top bar: I will add it into as an option to turn it on/off

Opening the book.Oh yes - interesting. This is I think a newish option with iOS. With several options for what to open. Very clever.!

Just tapping on the icon opens to my last book read. Long press does open nice list. ipad os 26.3.1

For the dictionary issue: I have an iPhone 13 running iOS 18.7.3.

Opening the book: The long press is cool, though I'll have to get used to it. I'd prefer a setting option to have tapping the app icon to open straight to the current book. But I understand if this isn't desirable or possible.

Works on 26, does not work on 18 (ipad mini on 26; ipad air on 18)

Thank you, will look into it right away. Just finishing version 1.5, where the sync is finally fixed (one stupid line missing, better say commented on purpose for testing).

Visibility of top bar added, se changes in 1.5

And I just tested that dictionary in iPad Mini with 18.6 and dictionary always shows and stays. Is the behavior: shows and hides immediately?

Now working on the 18 air. Shows and stays. Weird. I didn't change anything.
