Here’s an epub of The Virginians by W.M. Thackeray. I have fully proofed the text against the first book edition (London: Bradbury & Evans, 2 vols., 1858/59), corrected hundreds of mistakes and variants, and included Thackeray’s 142 illustrations.

My plan for these illustrated editions has become clearer by now: there will be nine volumes with all the illustrated texts that were published in books during Thackeray’s lifetime, plus two novels for which other artists provided illustrations in the first collected edition of his works. Next up: the Christmas Books.
