Remove Unused Images Plugin

Description
The plugin searches for references of all images in any text file (except in opf).
When there are no references in any text file the image will be deleted and removed from the opf.

Some epubs include images which aren't displayed anywhere. This plugin cleans this up.
Also when stripping a book to only its main content this plugin allows you to quickly clean up the images too.

Disclaimer:
I've tested this plugin and haven't found it to remove any referenced images.
You should still keep a backup of the book in case something goes wrong.

Does this plugin take into account images referenced in the CSS?

How is this any different to Modify ePub's removal of unused images?

Yes, it should take css references into account.

Probably no real difference. Didn't know Modify Epub included this functionality.
I didn't find a plugin which did this, asked AI to create one and shared it here.

Just had a look and one difference between Modify EPUBs remove unused images is that it works in the background on multiple files while this plugin is available in the book editor.

Otherwise both plugins did remove the same images in the books I tested.
