Message on hold for moderation?

For some unclear reason my message was put "on hold"... While the next one was posted immediately. Was trying to reply to this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=371908

What's up? No URLs or file attachments in the postponed message.

That's an anti-spam measure. Some posts (at random) of the new members are put on hold until a moderator can look them over. Once you've posted enough times it should disappear.

Unfortunately MR gets a lot of spam.

I see. Perhaps a little bit of heuristics would help? E.g. classify the post, check for URLs, etc.

Checking for URLs doesn't help, it's been tried. The spammers post their initial messages without them and add links later.

I've seen some spammers post OK messages and then later on post their spam.
