Troubleshooting Books without covers!

Hi, I've got a problem with my Paperwhite 3..it is old, but...still good for reading.
Since yesterday, a lot of my purchased eBooks have no thumbnail cover. I've tried all, but It hasn't worked out 😢

In cases where the publisher changes something about the book, the older version can get 'orphaned' and is no longer listed on Amazon.

Thumbnails only get generated on-device when they're personal documents, otherwise it gets downloaded along with the book. But for some reason the thumbnail asset isn't part of this for 'orphaned' books.

If you go to your Content listing find one of the books without thumbnail and click on the title. If that doesn't open the book listing then it confirms the above hypothesis.

If it does open a page then cause lies elsewhere.

Hi, they're not personal documents, they're books, and they're still present in my cloud. The covers appeared some days ago (and they are visible in kindle app for Android and the one for Windows...but not in the ereader) but when I started with sync with my phone the covers have been lost..I don't know why

Tomsem, it seems you were right! I checked on desktop site, and I saw that some ebooks kindle that I purchased are no longer available!

Yes, and you should still get covers with the Kindle apps for those books. The apps will generate the cover thumbnails from the book cover image if it cannot match it up to a cloud thumbnail. Would that Kindles would do this as well.

Of course, you could remove the DRM and sideload the books as personal documents. They would have covers then.
